Flexicon A/S was founded in 1986 with the business idea to manufacture and supply liquid filling and capping equipment for filling bulk products into end-user containers such as vials, bottles, test tubes, micro diagnostic tubes, Petri dishes and others. Flexicon products have been developed for small to medium sized production scenarios and predominantly for the pharmaceutical and bio-tech market sectors.

Flexicon today offers a range of products from tabletop filling machines, through semi-automatic systems to fully automated filling and capping machines. This is done with the focus on PRECISION EFFICIENCY FLEXIBILITY.

An adjustable working beam with central adjustment of vial guides transports vials from the feeding turntable and to the different working positions. Thus no change parts are required for the entire vial range. Change parts for plugs consist only of the chute, jaws and piston. Change

parts for fl ip off aluminium crimp caps consist only of the chute and crimping head. All parts are very easy to exchange and are included in the system price.

FPC50 has integrated support of pre- and post gassing nozzles, and electrical interface for control of a gas solenoid valve. FPC50 has an optional frontal or side position of the infeed tray. This allows the possibility of installing FPC50 ina standard 600 mm depth LAF bench.

Collection of vials takes place on a dead plate with rails. A custom designed tray support system can be supplied as an accessory.

Operator interface is an easy-to-clean touch screen and keypad. The panel is mounted on a separate control box, remote from the fi lling unit. This allows the control panel to be placed outside the LAF bench or isolator, and only three cables have to be sealed through the isolator wall. The touch screen has self-explanatory menus for control of machine parameters,

as well as error indication messages from the sensor system, which monitor the working beam, no vial/no fi ll, no vial/no plug, no vial/no cap and number of plugs and caps in the vibrator bowls.

It is possible to store up to 20 sets of working parameters as complete working programs. The programs and machine operation can be password protected.

FPC50 is the perfect solution for small batch aseptic vial fi lling plugging and capping in R&D departments and bio-pharma operations.
